Term 4 Week 10

3/4 Camp @ School

It was my privilege to spend Thursday and Friday with the Independence Centre students completing the Sports camp activity. They are an amazing group of people with sportsmanship and a 'can do' attitude to match! I want to acknowledge all the work that the 3/4 staff did to make sure that camp was fun and engaging, even though we didn't have to travel very far. No

Step Up Week

Plans have been finalised and our Step Up Week begins next Monday. Students will move to their new class at the beginning of the day. At the end of the first day all students will bring home a teacher introduction and staff list (this will also be in the newsletter next Monday.)

Students who are leaving the school will attend Step Up Week and participate in activities for the Year level they are moving into in 2021. New students joining the school will join Step Up Week on the Monday too.

Year 6 students will participate in a Secondary School timetable which will include teachers from local Secondary Schools too. Step Up week goers for three days with students returning to their 2020 class on Thursday and Friday.

Farewell Jo Smaller

Jo has made the difficult but brave decision to follow her creative pursuits and will finish at MPRPS as an Education Support staff member at the end of this year. Jo has been a huge part of MPRPS and K over the last ten years. We will miss her dedication, humour and care of the students that she works with and also staff. Jo has reorganised our Library, worked in the office and has been always willing to assist in any way she can. Her Library reading sessions for Foundation students over Remote Learning were very popular.

I want to acknowledge the amazing contributions Emma and Emily have made to our school.

Emma Marsh is relocating to Western Australia with her partner. Emma has not only been a wonderful teacher she has shared her passion of student wellbeing with us.

Emily Kiefte has made the difficult decision to change schools and will join Wonga Park PS to further her teaching career. I wish both teachers the best as they embark on their next adventure.
