TERRI'S TALES
Annoying my son during remote learning?!
My 13yo son sits at the other end of the dining table to do his schoolwork when we do remote learning. I just can’t understand it (ha ha) when he constantly gets annoyed with me when I ask “have you finished Maths?”, “have you done your English work?”, “could you turn your music down so I can concentrate on what I’m doing!”, “you need to do some exercise” – where’s the problem?
As everybody knows my son is the love of my life but he is actually looking forward to going back to school because I apparently nag him more than his teachers do – no!!!!!!!
I know he loves me!

VINES ROAD COMMUNITY CENTRE
DEVIATION ROAD - update
Long-term repair works will take around three months to complete. During this time, Deviation Road will remain closed and the detour in place.
The ongoing closure is frustrating for drivers and local residents – our priority is to ensure the site is safe before we re-open the road to traffic.

INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY
My name is Deanne Aguirre and am currently interning at the British Consulate General, Melbourne. On behalf of the Consulate, I would like to share our #HC4ADay competition with you, that we are running for International Women's Day, 2021. This competition is open to anyone identifying as female between the ages 16 and 22 and would be a great opportunity for students in your school.
The #HC4ADay competition is an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in getting a 'behind the scenes' experience with the UK in Australia. Winners are given the opportunity to shadow/be a Consul General for the day, at the British Consulate General in Melbourne. Competition entry involves a video submission on the theme of International Women’s Day, #choosetochallenge, telling us about a policy you would introduce to challenge gender inequality.
Please see the attached flyer and links for more information. I hope you're having a lovely day and please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
