Year 4/5 GS Raptors

The GS Raptors and GS Warriors put on a very exciting and close game Thursday evening.  Players from both sides displayed their skill and shot some skillful baskets.  The Raptors went in at half time with a 5 point lead, but the Warriors came out strong in the second half and took the lead.  Late baskets by Lorenzo, Downey and Jayden got the score to 17-18 with less than two minutes to go.  The Warriors maintained their composure and secured two baskets to take a 17-22 win.  The Raptors lost by 21 points the last time they played the Warriors, so it was great to see such a massive improvement.

Scorers: Jayden (11 pts), Oscar, Downey and Lorenzo (2 pts each).

Year 2/3 GS Rockets

The GS Rockets had a very competitive match against the Prescott Lions on Wednesday afternoon.  The Lions only had 4 players, so the Rockets volunteered to each play a portion of the game playing for the opposition.  Tennyson had a strong game and is showing more confidence on the court each week, Inara performed some excellent steals and Rhys and Layla displayed their dribbling skills as they drove the ball forward.
