From the EAL class room

From Kimalee, EAL teaching specialist

In the EAL (English as an Additional Language) Classroom

Over the last few weeks, several of the EAL classes have been investigating animals.  Students have explored books, joined in with hands-on games, labelled their animal drawings as well as written a short information report.  Some students even went on to write about their animals in a fictional narrative.

To complete the topic, we gave a 'nod' to the past by investigating real fossils, reading dinosaur books, and making our own fossils with sand, plastic dinosaur imprints, and plaster.  We hope when the plaster is dry that the students' pretend fossils will be awesome!
