NMPS AGM (Annual General Meeting)

You are invited to attend the upcoming Annual General Meeting of North Melbourne Primary School Parents and Friends Association meeting on Tuesday 5 April at 7.30 pm online. Details to access this meeting will be sent via Compass closer to the date. This is an important meeting for the Association as our school principal, Sarah Nightingale, will introduce the Model Constitution and facilitate the election of a president, secretary, and treasurer.

All members of our school community are welcome to attend the meeting, however, only Registered Members will be able to stand for office and/or vote. Registered Members who wish to be considered for positions can either self-nominate or accept a nomination from another Registered Member during the meeting. To register as a member please email community@nmps.fun and request a registration form. Registration forms must be completed before the meeting.

The role of the Parents and Friends Association is threefold:

  • to provide support, in various forms, for the school, its students and community, including raising funds for the benefit of the school
  • to work in cooperation with the principal, staff and school council in building effective partnerships between home and school
  • to encourage diversity by getting to know the parents of other children at the school, and to support the operation of the school

The Parents and Friends Association welcomes any member of the school community who cares about our school and is willing to lead, or support, activities and events.  Meetings are held at least monthly from 7.30 pm, but attendance is not compulsory (minutes are emailed).

Please email community@nmps.fun if you have questions regarding the upcoming meeting.
