From the Principal
New beginnings
There is always excitement and optimism as we commence a new term. The lessening of restrictions adds to the optimism for an excellent term ahead. We extend a special welcome to seven new students commencing at the College. In addition, we welcome the following members of staff:
- Ms Anabelle Allet - Education Assistant Primary
- Miss Emma Eisenmann – Year 6B Teacher
- Mrs Judy Lucas - Education Assistant, Secondary
- Miss Jade Mickle - Humanities Teacher
- Mrs Leah Volikov – Year 5B Teacher
We trust that new students and staff have a wonderful association with the College.
During the school holidays very reverent and hope-filled Easter celebrations occurred in countries around the world as tangible signs of our Christian faith. Earlier this week, significant ANZAC commemoration events acknowledged the outstanding service of many Australians. It is an important time of the year.
At John XXIII College, our builders and architects, have been working diligently on our Building Program. There have been some COVID related delays, but we are delighted with the progress being made. Our Library is very near completion, and we look forward to this renovated facility enhancing the learning and teaching opportunities for our students and staff.
Over the coming weeks, there will be further opportunities for larger gatherings of students, staff and families. It will be great to welcome everyone back to our campus. The support and understanding of the wider John XXIII College community in the past few years has been outstanding.
