From the Principal

PLEASE NOTE:

LAST DAY OF TERM SCHOOL DISMISSAL IS AS PER NORMAL TIMES: 3:05\3:15pm

Dear Parents and Carers,

As we come to the end of the first complete school term, free from COVID disruption in over 2 years, I would like to take the opportunity to share this prayer with you.

I encourage and invite you to take some time within your family routine to pray this prayer together.

We thank you Lord, for this term. For our challenges, our successes, and the mistakes from which we have learnt. Be with us as we spend our time with family and friends.

Give us strength and courage to do what is right: to be witnesses of our faith. Help us to be practical Christians these holidays, to appreciate what others do for us, to give time and effort to help others. To be peacemakers in our family.

Keep us safe in our activities; give us good rest and good fun. Bring us back refreshed and ready for a new term.

We thank you for our classmates, teachers, parents and a community that cares for us.

May we always be conscious of you in our lives.

Amen

May this Easter season provide your family time to reflect on the Good News of the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and the profound joy and hope this brings to God’s people.

God bless

COVID Plan UPDATE

Extension of the rapid antigen testing program for schools

The Victorian Government has announced that it is extending the rapid antigen test (RAT) screening program for the first four weeks of Term 2.

Schools will receive their RAT allocation for the first two weeks of Term 2 by Friday 8 April 2022. The Department of Education and Training will make RATs available for any vacation programs that operate at your school and for any families who need a top-up for the school holiday period.

The screening recommendations will remain the same next term for students and staff:

  • primary and secondary schools – recommended to test at home twice a week
  • special schools – recommended to test five days a week due to the higher risk of severe illness for medically vulnerable children.

Labelled testing kits for students for Term 2 Week 1 and 2 will be sent home this week. Please keep an eye out for the testing kit in your child's school bag.

A Skoolbag notification will be sent to inform parents.

Air purifiers - 2nd stage delivery

This week the school received a further 15 air purifier units to bolster the 30 plus units already in place within the school site.

This will mean that every learning space and including adjacent areas is now serviced with some sort of air purification coverage. This has strengthened the steps we are taking to minimise the transmission of COVID particularly as we approach the cooler months of the year.

God bless
