Harmony Day

Last Friday, on the 25th March, Essex Heights celebrated Harmony Day. Students and teachers dressed in cultural or orange clothes, and brought a gold coin donation for the Migrant Information Centre, Box Hill. We raised $266. Thank you to everybody who donated a gold coin on the day. At the end of the day the school also held a parade so that students could see each other and other grades in their beautiful cultural and orange clothes.
Harmony Day is all about celebrating cultural diversity and learning about different countries and their people. We honour Harmony Day at our school because our school is a kind and diverse place, and because diversity is so important and common in our school. Harmony Day is a special day at Essex Heights.
