Wantirna College Defeated Wesley College

The Wantirna College debating team defeated Wesley College by one point in our first debate. Our topic was 'That we should legalise Uber' and Wantirna had the affirmative side. We were represented by James Keam and Daniel Henderson of Year Nine and also Jamie Herbst of Year 11. James Keam was named best speaker. Our students were debating against a team made up entirely of Year 11 students, so their victory is an even greater achievement! The students were ably supported by their teammates, Hope Kloppernburg, Elita Schwab and Alyssa Huang, who will be debating in the next round.
