mad for maths

To support VCE students in their study of the ‘Recursion and Financial modelling’ unit, a lecture was organised on the school premises to enable all 82 Further Maths students to attend!

The lecture was run by Connect Education, an organisation that uses top scoring presenters to cover specific study strategies from a student perspective. Students engaged with the material presented and felt comfortable asking questions and gaining an insight to the academic experiences of a recent VCE graduate.

I found the Year 12 Further Maths lecture quite helpful. The lecture provided us with an insightful and succinct recap of the financial maths unit. I found that it helped reinforce what I needed to know and consequently I feel more confident about the SAC.

The year 12 Further Maths students were fortunate enough to attend a lecture addressing the Financial Maths core unit. The topics were addressed in a succinct manner that was engaging and comprehensible. In essence, it was a useful lecture to attend and was convenient for the upcoming SAC.

The Further Maths lecture was very good. Lachlan was very helpful in his teaching of Financial Maths. He made everything clear in my mind about the topic. Even though it did go for an hour and a half, Lachlan kept it engaging. Overall, I got a lot out of it.
