Sporting Achievements

Nick Collier

Congratulations to Nic Collier of Year 7 who was selected out of over 100 under 12 school students to represent Victoria in the school sports AFL Football team.

Nick was one of 25 under 12 boys in the state to be selected to play in the team. In July he travelled to Queensland with the Victorian team to compete against all other state football teams and took out the championship. Nick was also rewarded the Joel Selwood Award and was recognised as a player who displays team first qualities. Huge congratulations to Nick who has a great future ahead of him with amazing potential and we will hopefully one day see you playing in the AFL.

Gus Broersen

Gus is currently living at Thredbo for Term 3, doing his schoolwork between competing.

Gus has had a fantastic season finishing 3rd in the Australian Junior National Slopestyle held at Perisher, where he competed with his arm in a cast as he injured it in training the previous afternoon. Last Sunday was the Slopestyle event here at Hotham which he won and then immediately travelled with his coach to Thredbo in NSW, arrived at dinner time to compete in the Thredbo Big Air the next day - this is an AFP event which gives International ranking points and the jump is 60ft!! He placed 2nd in this event and was super excited.
