Assistant Principal's Report

Student reports are almost ready to be distributed to parents via Compass, over the school break it is important to have a good read of all the comments teachers have put in. It’s a time to reflect and think about how we have worked on tasks, how we can do better and improve ourselves.

We encourage parents to discuss these reports with their child/children. Some questions you can ask are:

  • What have you learnt in each subject?
  • How are you going in each subject?
  • How do you know?
  • How can you improve?
  • Where do you go for help?

Year 11 Study Session

Year 11 students will have a guest speaker talk about time management and combatting procrastination on the 26th June. Hopefully students will get some good strategies for their approach to VCE.

There will be one more sessions for the year 12's in September where parents will be invited to attend the same session in the evening.

Uniform Issues

With winter here we remind parents and students that “hoodies’ are not part of our uniform and students are expected to be in complete and correct school uniform every day.  To combat the cold, students should wear a school jumper (for warmth) and a spray jacket (protection against rain and wind).  In addition to this students are able to wear plain white t-shirt under their shirt; however, the t-shirt may not hang below the shirt or jacket and must not extend below the sleeve.  If a student wishes to wear a long-sleeved white t-shirt they must be wearing the long sleeved college shirt.

Also with the colder weather students have been wearing non-college track pants.  Students can only travel to and from school in PE Uniform on days they have a practical PE class and then only if they are wearing the correct PE Uniform.  Items that are not part of the College PE Uniform are not permitted and a note will not be accepted for this.  Students who do not have the correct PE Uniform are to wear their regular uniform and change for PE; with a note explaining why they do not have the correct PE uniform.

Finally, the wearing of a scarf is permitted, however this scarf needs to be either a navy blue or black scarf or not a big chunky one. If anyone would like to purchase a scarf these can be bought at the uniform shops.

Camps International

We are very excited to be offering our Year 8, 9, 10 & 11 students the opportunity to travel to Borneo with Camps International in 2021!

Students will be living in the heart of rural communities, learning about local life and working on a range of sustainable and meaningful community and conservation projects!

Parents and interested students are invited to attend our Parents Presentation which will take place next term on Wednesday 31st July at 6pm in the Theatre.
