Robot Challenge Day

On Friday 24 August, Year 9 IST competed in a Robot Challenge Day to finished off their Robotics Unit they had been studying over the last term.

Students had to use the skills they had learn in class, to program a Lego EV3 Robot to complete a maze, then rebuild and reprogram for the robot to complete in a Robo Wars Competition.

Both challenges were also part of their assessment tasks for the term. All students had lots of fun while showing their new skills in robot programming.

RU OK? Day

Thursday 13 September is RU Ok? Day - a very important date on the Henry Kendall High School calendar.

It’s a day to start a conversation and check on your mates. We will have lots of fun stuff going on; photo booths, hot chocolates, and art activities. BUT in the meantime it’s time to get creative!

We are holding a Video, Poster and Photo competition and want the students to show us what RU Ok? Day means to them.

  • 1st  prize is a $100 Coles/Myer voucher,
  • 2nd prize a $50 voucher

With lots of other goodies up for grabs.

Students can choose whether to make a video, create a poster or take a photo. Entries close on Wednesday 12 September.
