Year 8 -

Getting ready for 2019

Year 9 in 2019 and Year 10 in 2019 have been working through the transition program for their electives. A booklet outlining the curriculum structure and proposed elective courses for students entering and Years 9 and 10 in 2019 has been issued to students. They have attended an Information Evening and they have entered their choices. Notification of their final selections will be received soon, any student with any concerns regards the process or their choices must see the appropriate Year Adviser for assistance.

Year 10

Year 10 are also preparing for their move into the senior school with their interviews and subject selections. Students will be experiencing the reality of Year 11 during the Stage 6 Preparation Program. The program is a unique way of preparing students for the emotional, practical and social changes that will occur in Years 11 and 12. We look forward to the many projects created during his period.

Minimum Standards

REFORM 1: Establish a minimum standard of literacy and numeracy for the award of the HSC

A big congratulation to Year 10 students who sat the Minimum Standards test last term, with the majority of students reaching and excelling in the standards. All students who completed the tests have improved in their skills and knowledge of numeracy and literacy. Well done!!

 

Any student, parent or caregiver who would like further information on the results of the Standards test can contact individual Maths and/or English teachers for results.

Year 12

Our Year 12 students have just completed their Trial HSC examinations and are presently receiving their results, feedback and ranks. A big congratulation to Year 12 for wonderful behaviour, application and diligence throughout the exam period. We all encourage Year 12 to focus now on the HSC exams and to take on board all assistance and work together to reach their personal best.

We look forward to working with Year 12 in their final weeks of school.
