2020 HKHS Swimming Carnival

On Monday 17 February, Henry Kendall High School held our 50th Annual Swimming Carnival. Despite the less than perfect weather, the students attended and participated in significant numbers.

The event schedule needed to be changed due to a lightning related delay; however, the quick swimming by the students allowed us to make up time and run all scheduled events.

I would like to congratulate all students on their maturity and cooperation in managing these changes and for not allowing the weather to impact their enjoyment on the day.

All age groups were strongly contested resulting in some close scores in the competition for age champions.

Congratulations to the following students for winning their respective age champion titles:

12 Years Champions

Angus Gibbs and Kristina Grimley

13 Years Champions

Ty Creek and Haylie Green

14 Years Champions

Cooper Schoch and Sanika Nou

15 Years Champions

Casey Stone and Georgia Muspratt

16 Years Champions

Kyle Dowling and Jade Sweeney

17+ Years Champions

Tim Cuthbert and Katalena Abarca

The Brisbane Water Zone Swimming Carnival will be held on Thursday 5 March and HKHS will be taking a 50 strong team to compete. I would like to wish all students attending the best of luck at this carnival.
