This week we interviewed Mrs. Robinson, Mrs. Tilley, Mrs. Sartoria, Mrs. Wilkinson and Mr. Smith, who are some of the longest standing teachers at Numurkah Primary School.

What is your favourite subject to teach? | Literacy. | Probably maths. | I really enjoy teaching literacy and history. | Maths because it is a lot of fun and isn’t repetitious. | Maths and science. |
What was the best experience that you’ve had while teaching? | Working with such wonderful children and teachers at NPS | Seeing all my kids going through primary school. | Teaching prep and 3/4s teaching them how to be in control of their work. | The debating festivals and the years the softball teams have one the finals. | When I did the billy cart project and the 3/4s built billy carts |
What is the funniest moment of teaching? | When one of the teachers was playing the piano and a teacher snuck in and got his class to sneak out and when he turned around his class had disappeared. | My kids are a funny bunch so at least every day I have a good laugh. | Years and years ago Mrs. H and I were in the multi-purpose room teaching the Preps how to use a hula-hoop when 1 student made Mrs. H have a turn. I laughed so much that we couldn’t finish the lesson because she looked like a washing machine. | When we go to school camp and the rumour goes around that I fall a lot only on camp. | When I had to dig through the big bin because I thought a student threw out all his school supplies. |
What years have you taught? | Prep to grade 6 | 1-5 in Australia and when I lived in England I taught year 6 | All ages from 3-year-old's up to 16-year old’s across to states and territories. | 4,5 and 6. | 3/4s and 1/2s. |
