NEWS FROM THE MUSIC ROOM

I would like to announce the appointment of three music captains for 2021.

The reason we have three captains, is to represent the diverse aspects of our current music program.

Congratulations to:

Jayden Vermeend – special focus is the support of young rock musicians and bands in the school.

Veronica McCarthy – special focus is the support of the stage and concert bands and the support and recruitment of the traditional concert band instrument students.

Amelia Strait – special focus is bridging the links between all of the musicians in the school and event support.

All captains will be involved in show planning, running the events and publicity of the music program.

In addition, the captains will be a part of a team of performing arts leaders who will meet monthly, to help guide the performing arts into the years events.

We also welcome Alanah Smith and Paige Elms to the team!

Calling for interest in trumpet or trombone

• We have some spaces for students who would like to learn trumpet or trombone!! If you would like to learn either of these instruments for FREE for a term, please seem Ms Fowkes ASAP. 😊
