Library News

On Anzac Day we come together, in person and in spirit, to commemorate the men and women who have served our nation in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations.
The Australian War Memorial will welcome thousands of people to the Anzac Day Dawn Service and National Ceremony on Sunday 25 April.
This year, in line with government advice, the Dawn Service and National Ceremony will be ticketed.
A full list of RSL ANZAC Day events will be published on the RSL Victoria website, in the coming days.

ANZAC Day Books in our school library
The 2021 Victorian Premiers’ Reading Challenge is now open!
How to Meet the Challenge
Year Level | Number of Books | Number from the Challenge book list |
Prep – Year 2 | 30 books | 20 or more |
Year 3 – Year 6 | 15 books | 10 or more |
Students read the above number of books during the Challenge (1 Feb to 1 September)
The Challenge is open to all Victorian children from birth to Year 10 in recognition of the importance of reading for literacy development. It is not a competition; but a personal challenge for children to read a set number of books by 1 September 2021.
Children from Prep to Year 2 are encouraged to read or ‘experience’ 30 books with their parents and teachers. Children from Year 3 to Year 10 are challenged to read 15 books.
Our school library currently has 1418 Reading Challenge books for the students to read.
All children who meet the Challenge will receive a certificate of achievement signed by the Victorian Premier.

Following the successful return of storytime to our library branches, we’re excited to announce our first in-person School Holiday Program since the beginning of last year! COVID safety measures are in place, which means places at each event will be limited and bookings are essential.
