T.I.M.E (Music)

This term students are learning all about Taiko drumming as we prepare for an incursion from Sydney based Taiko drumming band Taikoz. So far we have seen some examples, learnt about the instruments used in Taiko drumming, and have tried making our own word rhythms using some percussion in class. Here are some of our preps playing with clapsticks and palm drums to make their own little competing rhythms.

Yesterday the grade three to sixes went to Hamer Hall to watch the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra perform Peter and the Wolf. Here are some pics from our music excursion.
