Instrumental Music

2021 has started strong for the Primary and Secondary Instrumental Music Programs! All teachers and students have been busy learning new techniques, songs and preparing for performances in term two. 

Both programs have been happy to welcome many new students who are learning a range of instruments from drums to guitar, violin, saxophone and keyboard.

There are still spaces available for the Secondary Campus Instrumental Music Program. If you would like to learn an Instrument, please contact Andrew Rogers  -andrew.rogers3@education.vic.gov.au

Secondary Music

The Lakes College South Morang has expanded its music program this year with the addition of VET Music. This program will further add depth and knowledge to the Lakes music experience.

Students in Years 9 and 10 have been exploring careers in the Performing Arts and the impact music technology has had on music composing and the music industry. Students have participated in activities within these areas including composing songs on Garageband, using technology to further understand chord structure and melody, and also exploring the vast career opportunities available within the performing arts.

We have only just begun the year and excited to see the outcomes from all music students.
