Year One

Year 1 Inquiry Unit 

In year 1 we have been learning about ‘Mapping’ for our inquiry unit. We have explored lots of different  maps. We mad the map of Australia and learnt all the different names of the states. We labelled compass points and learnt the saying Never Eat Soggy Weetbix to remember North, South, East and West . We practised using the compass on our iPads. We used Google maps to find our school and places in our community. We studied treasure maps and made our own. 

I loved using the iPad and I think its good for me to learn directions and its good for me to know how to get home.
