ART  ROOM NEWS:

Current Art Projects: In Art all students are busy painting their clay they made last term. This is always an exciting step in the long process involved with clay projects. 

Art Show: 

This year I have decided to go ahead and plan an ART SHOW of student work for the parent community. Students will use this term to create the art for this exhibition which will be held early in Term 3 (exact date still to be decided). The theme for the art show is “Aussie Escape” inspired by the tourist destinations of this beautiful country. Since we currently can’t travel abroad, more people are exploring domestic destinations, and rediscovering what our own country has to offer. For a bit of fun parents will need to book tickets and go through the art exhibition on a ‘tour’ led by a ‘tour guide’ (selected grade 6 students). Parents will be notified when they can book a tour for this event. Stay tuned!

Learning About Echidnas in F6

Today we had Monique Bregman come and talk to us about echidnas. We learnt lots of information about them, as well as ways we can care for their environment. We also got to touch a stuffed echidna and feel its spines. Monique works for Parks and Wildlife and was able to share lots of information. Thanks Monique!
