Principal's Message

From the Principal

Dear Parents and Carers,

Term 1 has certainly been a busy and productive one. I congratulate the children on all their efforts this term. A special congratulations to our amazing Prep students who have completed their first term at primary school. It is amazing how much they have learnt in the short time they have been at school. I am sure, like the rest of the students (and teachers!), that they are ready for a well-deserved break.

We are now entering the final days of our Lenten season. As part of our Lenten preparation at school we concluded our term with a reflective prayer service this morning in the courtyard, acknowledging the significant days through Holy Week.

When the students return in Term 2 we will celebrate the risen Christ at our first Monday morning assembly.

As we journey through the remainder of Lent let us keep Christ at the centre of all our words and actions and let us focus our lives more clearly on walking in the way of Christ and living a Christian life.

Please refer to the Holy Week page in this newsletter for Christ Our Holy Redeemer Easter mass times.

Portfolios

Portfolios were sent home today. This is an opportunity for students to share some of the learning with family and friends. More information regarding portfolios can be found in this newsletter.

Transition Information Pack 2021-2022

If you have a Grade 6 child and are intending to send your child to a Victorian Government School, please ask for an Transition Information pack from the office.

Monthly Fee Statements

Under our new governance model schools are being  asked to send out our their school fee statements monthly rather than each term.

Please be reminded that you can chose to pay your fees weekly, monthly, termly or yearly. I would also encourage any family experiencing financial burden to contact me to discuss fee payment options.

CONGRATULATIONS

Congratulations to Rachael O'Halloran and her husband-to-be, Mikey who are to be married during the holiday break. We wish them a lifetime of happiness together.

On Leave

Next term I will be taking four weeks of long-service leave, heading to WA on a family road trip. During this time Jo Cowan will step in as Acting Principal.

I hope you have a lovely break, enjoying the time with your children.

Please keep safe if you are travelling and I pray you have a happy and holy Easter.
