Community Spotlight: Year 3/4 Community

  • Independent Problem Solving Skills
  • Appropriate Ways of Communicating
  • Resilience

During our unit, we aim to help students develop their recognition that problems are a normal part of life and increase their ability to identify and name problems.

By recognising that there are solutions to problems, students develop a range of strategies to use when solving problems.

As a community, we also brainstormed and discussed what it means to be independent and the importance of being independent in Year  3/4.

This week, we will start looking into ways of communicating with a focus on “I” messages when problems arise.

“I feel….

when you….

because….”

Roles plays will be used to navigate this way of communicating with peers to assist them when confronted by common friendship problems.
