Parents & Friends Association - AGM

We had a great turn out with new parents joining us on Monday 22 March for the PFA AGM.

At the AGM, office-bearers for the PFA 2021 committee were elected as per list below:

President:  Aban Tengra

Vice President: Jammy Chia

Treasurer: Pearl Chow

Secretary: Rae O’Brien

School Council Representative: Yara Khedr

Observer at School Council: Boon Leong Ong

Newsletter Co-ordinator: Harveen Singh supported by Annewee Tan

Events Co-ordinator: David Chow supported by Harveen Singh

Staff Chocolates will be co-ordinated by Ariane Joordens

All others attending expressed their interest to become General Members of the committee and a few opted to remain Observers to Committee meetings.

Next Meeting:

The Parents & Friends Association will hold the next monthly meeting on Monday April 26, 2021 at 7.30pm in the staff room in the General Office Block. If any members of the school community would like to join, please email Aban at aban2309@yahoo.com and we will very happily add you on to the distribution list.

18 March – EDSC Open Night 2021

The Parents & Friends Association (PFA) set up a stall on the night in the Wellbeing Hub of the College’s new Wellbeing Centre where we welcomed many prospective families and shared some wonderful experiences that we have all had over the years at the school.  PFA committee members volunteered their time very willingly.

A big thank you to everyone who was there to represent the PFA over the two shifts on the night. 

Entertainment Book Membership

Entertainment books have now gone completely digital and many new changes have been introduced.  Please visit the website, purchase a membership and avail the multitude of benefits from numerous deals and promotions.  20% of every membership purchased comes back to us. 

28 March – HOLI

Wishing the Hindu community and many others who celebrate the festival a very “Happy Holi”.  A festival of colours which signifies triumph of good over evil and also marks the arrival of spring was celebrated by many on Sunday 28 March. 

4 April – EASTER

“Happy Easter” greetings in advance to a large part of the College community celebrating this festival on April 4th, 2021 during the term break.  Wishing you loads of fun for a safe celebration.
