A note from Mr Jackson
Athletics District Carnival - Friday
There are a lot of nervous and excited athletes in the yard preparing for the District Athletics Carnival tomorrow. Thanks to Ms Zealley, Ms Rosbrook and a range of other staff for their organisation and energy that will see our students compete. We are sure that every student will give their best and represent the school strongly. Stay tuned for more!
Seesaw – A Glimpse into the Classroom
By the end of the week, parents who have returned their Seesaw consent forms should have received an emailed invitation to access their child’s learning. We believe that Seesaw will continue to strengthen the connections between home and school that were developed during our 2020 remote learning period.
Parents who require support in logging onto Seesaw or who have questions are more than welcome to join us in the staffroom between 3:45pm and 4:15pm on Wednesday. Staff will be available to log you in and give you a personal orientation to the software.
2022 Prep Invitations to Discover Life and Learning at Rosanna Primary
Next term we have made available a range of opportunities for families considering enrolling their child at Rosanna Primary. These events will orientate and showcase the deep learning happening in every classroom.
- School Tours are a chance to press noses against classrooms and have an inside look in our classrooms. Small groups of parents will be hosted by our students and the Principal.
- Come and Play Sessions are opportunities to introduce our potential 2022 Preps to our fun prep learning areas and our staff. This gentle and informal gathering has always proved an enjoyable time.
- Our 2022 Prep Parent Information Morning is scheduled for Saturday 8th May. This morning is a more formal space to hear more about our school and enjoy a tour hosted by teachers. An early brunch BBQ will finish the morning session with a space to discuss questions and get to know our new families.
- Education Week Open Classrooms will be a moment when our whole community is invited into our learning spaces on Tuesday 25 May.
If you know of families with children considering enrolling their child in 2022, please pass on an invitation to attend. Stay tuned to our Facebook page, Compass and website for more information.
Special Religious Instruction (SRI)
Thank you for those who have expressed interest in attending this year. Our Christian group has started on Monday afternoons. A number of families have also expressed interest in joining the Islamic group. Our accredited provider is working hard to meet the needs of these families and provide SRI in the future. We look forward to sharing more on the provision of SRI for our Islamic families soon.
Early Finish Reminder
A reminder to our community that the final day of term will be on Thursday the 1st of April at 2:30pm. Our final assembly will be held at 2:00pm and, weather permitting, we look forward to celebrating outside.
Harmony Day and Day of Action Against Bullying and Violence Thanks
Thanks to our students and staff who celebrated these important messages last week. Some students made posters prompting people to stand up against bullying behaviours and others added their handprint as a reminder that ‘Everyone Belongs’. We continue to seek spaces in our classrooms and in whole school gatherings to shape an inclusive community that celebrates everyone’s contribution. Be sure to watch the space under the library next week!
