House Cross Country

Congratulations to all of our Year 3 – 6 students for their efforts in last Friday’s Cross Country. It was great to see each of our students pushing themselves to achieve their own personal best.

Thank you to Noreen McMenaman and the team of staff, parents and carers that made the day a success. A special tip of the cap to Noreen for organising such sensational weather!

All the best to the top fourteen in each age group and gender as they continue to train in preparation for the District Cross Country.

See Noreen's report on the "What's Happening" page for some great pics.

A busy fortnight in our learning program

Our curriculum is designed to give students real world experiences that support the more traditional learning that happens in the classroom.  This varies in form and ranges from Learning Through Play, Investigations, Excursions and Incursions.

Over the last fortnight our experiences have included:

  • Year 1 Police Visit, an experience the cohort missed in 2020.
  • Junior School students heading to the Zoo, aligned to their ‘All Creatures Great and Small’ Unit of Inquiry
  • Middle School Puppet Incursion, aligned to their ‘Let Us Entertain You’ Unit of Inquiry
  • Senior School Immigration Museum and IMAX excursion, aligned to their ‘Global Education’ Unit of Inquiry
  • Senior School (small group) visits to John Monash Science School
  • Middle school students experiencing an incursion celebrating traditional Indonesian dances and music
  • Junior School soccer incursion
  • Interschool Sport for our Senior students
  • Senior Clubs with cooking
  • Year 3 – 6 House Cross Country.

It’s great to be back to our busy best!
