Operation Enhance
In term 3 I was selected to join the Operation Newstart Enhance leadership program. For five weeks I worked with eight other students from various schools in the northern suburbs, with a focus on how young people can make positive social change. Some of the activities we did included caving, abseiling and snowboarding at Mt Buller. Through undertaking these and other tasks, we learnt skills such as patience, teamwork, courage, confidence and leadership potential. During this experience I made new friends and gathered a better understanding of what makes a great leader.

School Aerobics Competition
Iris Zheng, Cindy Huynh and Grace Hilder placed third in their Sports Aerobics division Spring Challenge Championship with a great trio routine. They were only 0.5 points behind the second placing team.
Grace Hilder also placed third in her division with her very well executed individual routine.
Our younger representatives, Sofie Uwland, Anisija Stefanovski, Mollie McKenzie, Jenny Huynh, Jacqui Geraux, Gracie Douglas, Amelia Dimase and Jade Anderson, whilst not gaining a place this year, performed extremely well in their division as a team. A brilliant effort considering that this was their first time performing at an event such as the School Aerobics competition.
All the girls have worked very hard this year attending training twice a week under the competent coaching of Annabelle Stray (ex Northcote High 2014).
