Student Voice and Ideas

Christine and I really enjoyed spending time in classrooms last week as part of our school review process, meeting with students in our secondary and transition sections to listen to their views and ideas about school. Students in our primary section and some of our secondary and transition students completed this activity in their classrooms so we were able to hear from as many students as possible across the school.

Students used a range of communication supports to talk about things they really like about school and to share their thoughts about what they would like to do more of or some opportunities they would like to see added for students at our school.

It was really great to hear from our students and their ideas will be included in our school review in term two and inform the planning for our school over the next four years.

Below you can see photos of our students using communication supports to express their thoughts and ideas along with a summary of their discussions.
