Year 7 Vaccination

The Department of Health is offering parents of students in Year 7 the opportunity to have their child vaccinated against:

  • diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis (whooping cough)- 1 injection.
  • human papillomavirus (HPV)
  • Parents can also register consent for COVID-19 vaccine for their child.

The on-line VaccinateWA system is now to be used by parents/carers to complete the vaccination consent form in order to consent to their children/dependents receiving vaccinations whilst at school.

To provide consent/decline for vaccination, please register your child onto VaccinateWA.

A paper-based immunisation consent form can also be obtained via the HealthyWA  website or from the College Health Centre (limited amount available) This must be returned to the College even if consent is declined.  On-line consent process is preferred.

Step by step information:

School-based immunisation program (healthywa.wa.gov.au)

Please register consent/decline by 31 March, 2023.

The Department of Health Vaccine Team will be visiting the College on Wednesday 26 April to administer the vaccines.

Year 7 HPV Vaccine Schedule Change

Update from Department of Health WA has been received regarding HPV vaccine.

From 6 February 2023, Year 7 students will only require one HPV vaccine to be fully vaccinated. You may have already provided consent for two doses of HPV vaccine, however, once your child receives one dose, they will not need any further doses.
