Boarding Houses have embraced technology and have provided parents and students with many different mediums to access information - these include Hub Pages and Instagram.
Boarding Hub Pages
These are a source of information for both students and parents. The following information can be located on each Hub page;
- Gym schedules
- The 3 week menu for dining hall
- Family Groups
- Student Rosters and rooming allocations
- Birthdays
- Other information that supports student wellbeing such as sleep facts.

Weymouth House has also been trialing a feature on their Hub page where boarders can reach out for help by filling out a form that takes around 20 seconds. This information is then sent via email straight to the Head of House. They can do this for themselves or for a mate when may be concerned about their mate.
The Kinross Wolaroi boarding Instagram has been a great way in which staff and students have been able to highlight what is going on in boarding. It is an opportunity for us to connect with the broader school community and enable parents to see what is happening within the houses over the weekend. It has also been a fantastic tool to create conversations between students and their parents about what they have been up to.
The stories feature of Instagram has been a fantastic way of showcasing what the boarding students have done over the weekend in their houses and across sites. This feature enables staff to post throughout the weekend and to showcase the fantastic activities on offer.
