Bendigo fun run

The First National TSFV (Vic) team participated in the Bendigo Ford Fun Run on Sunday Martch 23rd to raise funds for the Bendigo Health Foundation.

Proceeds raised are intended to support a great local cause - a new children’s outdoor rehabilitation play space at Bendigo Health through the Bendigo Health Foundation.

Events on offer as part of the Bendigo Ford Fun Run included the 1km Kids Dash, 5km Fun Run / Walk, 10km Fun Run and a Half Marathon (21.1km).

Since 2006, First National Foundation has embodied the philanthropic efforts of over 300 First National offices to provide financial support to charities nationally. 

Your office may have a local charity that you support. If this is the case, you are able to raise money through the First National Foundation and send the money to your local charity. All members support Foundation as part of their First National membership.

Kids Helpline is FN Foundation’s major sponsorship beneficiary, in addition to the 7 NEWS Young Achiever Awards. As Australia’s only free, private and confidential 24/7 phone and online counselling service for young people aged 5 to 25, it’s an ideal fit for social proof in your community.

For 30 years Australia’s kids and young people have been turning to Kids Helpline’s professional, specialised counsellors, no matter who they are, where they live or what they want to talk about. 

Over this time, Kids Helpline has responded to over 9 million contacts. For some young people, connecting with Kids Helpline has been a life-saving experience, while for others it’s about practical help and emotional support at the critical moment they need someone to listen. 

A lot has changed over the decades. Our communities have changed, the issues kids face have changed, and the ways our Kids Helpline’s engage with and help young people have changed. What hasn’t changed is that Helplines make a difference to the emotional wellbeing and lives of our kids every single day — ensuring young people know they are not alone.
