Year 6 Forest Edge Camp

The bus to camp was filled with great anticipation and excitement for the impending camp. We were fed breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner, dessert and more. There was a high level of energy throughout the camp. Forest Edge’s Motto is: “Expand Your Paradigm”, where, through adventures of abseiling, ziplining and Pamper Pole where heights were one of the significant challenges that called campers to expand their paradigms.

Water sports were much loved, and we have many keen bushwalkers in the group. Each evening the boys had the opportunity to reflect upon how their ‘paradigm’ was expanded. We prayed we would develop good choices and friendships that last a lifetime by developing strength of character and resolve, focus, curiosity, new experiences, superb teamwork, and stepping out of one’s comfort zone. We all saw outstanding examples of ‘service for others’ where students packed up activities without being asked and wanted to be “Men for Others”.

I know the camp provides many enriching experiences, and equally, I know that the boys returning home will be happy to return home to their loved ones and home. Thanks to James Quin, Michelle Rogers, Matilda Roberts, Lissa Coleman and Alex Paljetak for their incredible organisation, commitment, and high energy in providing a high-quality experience for our boys.

Thank you to our parents for entrusting the care of those most precious to you, to our boys and us for taking a chance to Expand Their Paradigms.

God bless.
