Friends of Donvale (FOD) Events

Tim Dehn - Community Relations Manager

There's much to share today, so starting with tomorrow, Friday 24 March ...

This week sees the last Friendly Friday of the year. We meet in the FOD lounge after drop-off for an hour of informal chat and a cuppa or two, as a way of getting to know others who are new to Donvale.

Over the next three terms, year group parents are welcome to use the lounge, but please book your time and day through Amanda Gargett (FOD President) amanda.gargett@friendsofdonvale.org.au

The second-hand uniform shop will be open next Wednesday, 29 March, from 2pm - 4pm.

Next term's dates will be published via the FOD second-hand uniform Schoolbox page as soon as we have them.

Looking ahead to Mother's Day next term

Mother's Day 2023 is Sunday 14 May, so once again FOD will run a stall on the preceding Thursday and Friday, selling all sorts of delicious and/or beautiful items especially designed to bless the mother in your life.

But ... we need volunteers to sort, pack and price items for sale; set up the stall; serve customers; and pack down the stall at the end.

So, if you will have time to spare on Thursday 10 May; Thursday 11 May; or Friday 12 May, do come and join in. We may work hard, but we guarantee great fellowship, encouraging conversation and a good supply of tea or coffee.

Follow this link to offer your time. Note you will be required to have a Working With Children's Check and to have completed a simplified version of the Parent Helper online course.

And finally - really just for Primary families - Hot Cross Bun Day!

Don't feel left out, Secondary families - you'll get doughnuts next term ...

Just in time for Easter, all Primary students are invited to enjoy a delicious Baker’s Delight Hot Cross Bun at the end of term.

The easy way to order is online via Trybooking at  https://www.trybooking.com/CGJCZ

Even though Trybooking refers to the Hot Cross Buns as "tickets", do not fear: they are still definitely edible and delicious!

There's also a paper order form for those who prefer to use cash, which has been sent home with all Primary students this week.

All orders, whether online or via paper, must be received by the end of school on Friday 31 March.

The Hot Cross Buns will be delivered to classrooms by lunchtime on Wednesday 5th April with a little chocolate egg treat!
