Parent Opinion Survey:

A friendly reminder the survey closes next Friday

The Parent Opinion Survey is an annual survey offered by the Department of Education and Training. It is designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of parents’ perceptions of school climate, student behaviour, student engagement and experiences of remote and flexible learning. Our school will use the survey results to help inform and direct future school planning and improvement strategies. All parents were invited to participate in this year’s survey.  All responses to the survey are anonymous.

The survey closes on Friday 13th November. Parent login and password details were sent to individual families via email on Friday 16 October.

The survey is online, only takes 20 minutes to complete, and can be accessed at any convenient time within the fieldwork period on desktop computers, laptops, tablets or smartphones. The online survey is available in a range of languages other than English. These include: Arabic, Vietnamese, Mandarin, Chin (Hakha), Hindi, Japanese, Somali, Turkish, Punjabi and Greek.

The survey results will be communicated to parents through annual report.

Please call the school office if you would like more information.

Semester Two Student Reports

This semester we will again invite parents to contribute a comment on their child's learning, particularly through Home Learning in Term Three, for inclusion in the end of year Student Report. This is completely voluntary.

The opportunity was well received mid year and the feedback from our parents, carers and students was very positive.

Shortly we will advise parents and carers of the process and the time frame via Compass and class teachers will also email parents with the details.

Class Placement 2021

Parents are advised that the forms are due by Monday 9th November.

As this opportunity has been open to parents for quite a few weeks now, we ask parents and carers to adhere to this date.

The creation of 2021 classes and the placement of our students is a complex process requiring many factors to be taken into consideration. Parent information is one part of the process, along with the carefully considered information that teachers gather through their daily work with their students, including their detailed knowledge of their students as learners as well as the way they work and interact with others.

Parents wishing to provide confidential information to assist us in the process of student placement should download a ‘Class Placement of Pupils’ form from the school website  (click HERE to access the form).

Parents are requested to only provide information that may assist their child’s learning and educational needs. Requests for individual teachers will not be considered.  If you have any educational requests related to your child’s class placement in 2021, please complete a form and return to us by Monday 9 November, 2020.

Kiss and Go Zone

Families make  great use of our Kiss and Go Zones. The zones work effectively when families drop off their children and do not park their car in the zone or leave their car unattended.

The drop off routine also enables the flow of traffic at busy times.

Thank you for your support in using the zones as Kiss and Go only.

Gratitude and Mindfulness

What are three things that went well for you today?

What are the best things that happened to you today?

Who are you most grateful for and why?

What are you looking forward to most about tomorrow?
