Principal's Report

Mr Shaun McClare

This is our final newsletter for 2020 and I wanted to take the opportunity to thank our entire school community for their support, resilience and connectedness during such a tough time. Every single member of our community has played a vital role in supporting the education and well being of the students we care so much about. I would also like to thank everyone who has volunteered in the school during this year. Whilst the opportunities for events has been limited, your presence and care for the whole community is invaluable.

I would also like to thank the School Council members for their support and contribution this year. The discussions at School Council were quite different than previous years and it was invaluable to have parent feedback and input into decisions we made.

I would particularly like to thank Lachlan Williams for his time as School Council President. This is Lachlan’s final year connected with Kalinda and he has made such a valuable contribution as School Council President. Thank you.

Of course, I would like to thank our entire staff for their flexibility and dedication throughout 2020. I am incredibly proud to work with all of you.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank and farewell staff who won’t be with us next year. Some of these staff members are leaving us temporarily and others permanently. Some have left us during this year. I would like to thank all of you and wish you all the best in your future careers and lives.

I would also like to take this opportunity to congratulate all of our amazing students. You have shown great resilience and maturity throughout a challenging year. The challenges faced this year will enable you to face and conquer so many challenges in the future. Well done.

Finally, and most importantly, I would like to congratulate our graduating class of 2020. You are an amazing group of students and it has been a pleasure to see the positive way you have navigated 2020. I wish you every success and happiness in your future education and lives.
