Welcome

to the Joy of Life!

Welcome! Welcome! Welcome back!

What a joy it is to welcome everyone back on-site. Although of course it is not quite the same as our usual Term 4, there are many parts of our lives that never change - the joy of seeing our friends, the thrill of getting to the top of the dome, the love of our families and God's love never changes.

At our Friday assemblies we always begin with an Acknowledgement of Country.

The community of Christ Our Holy Redeemer

would like to acknowledge the traditional custodians of this land,

and pay respect to the elders, past and present of the Kulin Nation.

This is a way we welcome us all to our land, the land of the Kulin Nation, which although has changed greatly over time, is still the same earth God created. It is a way we welcome each other with joy to the simple parts of life.

Please take a moment to pray and celebrate the simple joys of life.

Prayer For Joy In Life

Loving Lord, how grateful we are for the many joys in life

that You in Your grace have bestowed on us in such abundance.

Thank You for the simple things in life and those that we so often take for granted,

for flowers and food, for mountains and streams, for our senses

and the many joys that we gain from seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting and touching.

Thank You for the joy of friends and family,

for the sun and rain the seasons

and the many phases of the weather

that bring such variety, refreshment, warmth and healing.

Thank You for the joy of singing praises to You,

and thank You, Father,

for the Lord Jesus in Whom is the fullness of joy.

In His name we pray,

Amen.
