Footy Colours Day

Our Year 6 leaders did a great job in organising some lunchtime activities for our kids, to celebrate ‘Footy Colours’ Day last Thursday. We had been practising our footy skills during PE sessions last week, so we were good to go. Huge thanks to SSPS/Mt Waverley Auskick for loaning us some equipment for the day. There were lots of challenges, with opportunities to tackle ‘Tommy’, take a ‘Specky’, kick a banana goal, and hit a bulls eye.

Active Transport

Congratulations to 4S on having the most active class in October. Each month, we take a ‘hands-up’ survey on how our children get to school, as part of a Bicycle Victoria initiative. Our numbers since returning to school, have shown a definite increase in the amount of us who are either walking or riding our bikes to school, which is a fantastic result. This month we had 30% of our students walking, 10% riding their bikes/scooters and 60% arriving by car. We all know the benefits of walking or riding, not only to our health & well being, but also to the environment. Keep up the great work!
