Principal's Message

It has been a great week at the College and a number of events will bring a lot of enjoyment to many of our community. Many have spoken about the students at all levels now back at school and that has been highlight. There has been many smiling faces although you can see it more in their eyes because we do still need to follow the guidelines that demand that we wear a mask. We thank all those students who are diligently following the protocols in relation to safety, physical distancing, hygiene and cleaning. The goal is to keep all our community safe.

It has also been my pleasure to be involved in the Senior Student Leadership Process. The concentration and support of the notion of teamwork has been great to observe. Fifteen students applied for the position of Lampbearer and we need to acknowledge their understanding of the Kildare Ministries Core Values as well as their commitment to be servant leaders to the Community. They all have exhibited their strength of spirit and are very generous in giving of their time in the service of others. It is very heartening to hear these students speak of the contribution that Marian has made in developing them academically but more importantly as worthy contributors to the local and global community. Many of the students also wanted to acclaim the support of their parents and acknowledge the enormous sacrifices that they have made to ensure that they get a quality education.

Finally, there has been a hive of activity over the last two weeks where final preparations have been undertaken for the production of a virtual Year 12 2020 Graduation Ceremony. Combining a Prayer Liturgy, the presentation of the Year 12 Graduands and an address by the Lampbearers the night promises to be a fitting acknowledgement of the efforts of the these students over their whole time at the College. We congratulate them all on their achievements and wish them well as they complete their studies in the coming weeks.
