Assistant Principal - Curriculum

Change is an inevitable part of life. As we grow and move forward - change is the natural consequence. While there are many different ways to approach change - ranging from refusal to engage with it, through to using it as a springboard for great things, change itself remains unavoidable.

For our principal, Mr. Geoff McManus, the change to leadership with the Catholic Schools Office is a springboard, an opportunity to grow and evolve. The word ’education’ comes from a Latin word  meaning lead forward and it is with this vision that Geoff leaves us to pursue other avenues. While we will miss him, we are excited for him as he takes this next step in his leadership journey. We wish him great success in the new role.

At the beginning of this week Year 12 students noticed some changes in their timetable. At the end of Year 11 many students choose to make a change to their pattern of study - to drop a subject, to change the level of study in Maths or English or to change from 2 unit to 1unit Studies of Religion. The effect of all these requested changes is cumulative and in order to facilitate them it is necessary to have a restructure of classes and lines. The pattern of study for all students has been the driving priority.
