Art

We have had such a busy term in Art. For the first couple of weeks we all worked hard to create artworks for Our Mums or Special People in our lives. The students did such an amazing job at completing the gifts and they took such time and pride in their work.

The 4/5/6’s for the last couple of weeks have been working on creating a flower portrait. We have modelled some flowers out of clay and painted them. Students then drew their vase and decorated it using either bubble wrap or paint splats. We have had to let all the elements dry so I look forward to us putting it all together and seeing how it turns out. It has been great to see them trying really hard.

The F/1/2’s have been working hard to create a mask. All the students made a fox mask and they had to listen closely to all the steps. We used paper plates to help us create the mask. The students were really happy with their masks and were super excited to take them home. This week the students picked either a owl, fox or echidna to make on cardboard. They had to cut out the animal and then deordate it using shapes. They had to cut shapes and fold them in half and glue them on. It was awesome to see the positive attitudes even when they found it a little tricky cutting the cardboard they all stuck at it and remained super positive. We will have to continue working on it next week to make a fantastic end product.
