Acting Principal's Notes

Smile Squad postponed
We have been advised from the Smile Squad that they have had to postpone their trip to Cavendish PS. They have rescheduled for Wednesday July 26th. The QR code has been playing up a bit so if you have trouble registering online we do have paper copies available at the office.
Eisteddfod permission
Tammy has put on the Eisteddfod permission note on the app. When approving please comment in the comments box whether your child will require bus transportation back to school or whether they will be going home with you. This is so we can have an idea on whether we need one or two buses after the event.

Bookclub
Issue 4 of Scholastic Bookclub is out today. If you would like to place an order, the preferred option is to complete your order online. Orders will close Thursday 8th June.
Every order you make gives a small credit to the school to purchase books for the children!
Pupil Free Day
Next Wednesday 31st May is a pupil free day. School buses will not be running and students are not expected at school. The teachers will be busy writing reports on the new uEducateUs app. This is our first attempt of writing reports using this program and we hope it is all plain sailing!
All student reports will be available for access on uEducateUs in the final week of Term 2.
Somers Camp
Our 7 students in Year 5/6 heading to Somers Camp next Tuesday are getting very excited!. They are all trying desperately to avoid falling ill before camp so they do no have to miss out. They will all be leaving on a 7:40am bus to Hamilton and must be at school by 7:30am. Mrs Bell will accompany them to Hamilton and then return to school afterwards. Campers will return home on Wednesday 7th June, just in time for the Eistedfodd the following day.
Book Fair
Thank you to everyone who supported our Scholastic Book Fair. We sold an impressive $881 worth of books and goodies. We were able to select $160 worth of reward books for the school. Yay!
Enjoy your weekend.
