Work Experience

Last week was, without a doubt, a nerve wracking but exciting week for the Year 10s with over 190 Year 10 students completing Work Experience. During the lead up to the week, students were tasked with updating their resumes and CVs to give to potential employers. Many took the initiative and began emailing and calling numerous employers requesting to undertake Work Experience with them.

We had students working with a range of employers from the local electrician all the way to a mountain trail company in the high country. 

The students left the week with plenty of stories to tell and newfound motivation for what’s to come in the future.

We encourage everyone to use this opportunity to start the conversation about pathways and the next steps for next year.

Yr 10 Year Level Leaders

Work experience was a week that we will never forget. During work experience all the year 10's took up a work placement that will provide them with skills in the future. It was a great experience, and we would recommend this program to others in the future.

Last week, we had the opportunity to undertake the Year 10 work experience program. It was an amazing week which we had the opportunity to develop skills in our desired workplace that can be applied to daily life. It was great to hear about everyone’s placements and even seeing our peers along the way!
