SPA update

Mother's Day Stall

SPA would like to thank all who donated such a wonderful array of Mother's Day gifts for our Mother's Day stall that was held in The Hood last Thursday morning. A big thank you to the mums and dads who manned the stall and helped the girls pick their perfect gift for mums, grannies and loved ones. We hope you all got spoilt on the day and enjoyed your special treats so lovingly picked out by your girls.

Mother's Day Lunch

Thank you to all our mums and guardians who attended our Mother's Day Lunch last Friday at West Beach Pavilion in St Kilda and made it such a great afternoon. The weather was a glorious backdrop to hosting such important guests. Being welcomed by the Shelford string quartet was a treat – thank you to our talented four and Ms Ruth Dixon-Lawrence and Frank Blakiston for facilitating the performance. We would like to thank all our volunteers and sponsors for such a successful day – and a special thank you to Woodshed https://www.atthewoodshed.com/ for the workout vouchers at every plate.

How you can get involved:

STALLS

Anybody with ideas for a stall or would like to host a stall themselves and sell their own goods. We require volunteers to man the SPA organised stalls for 45min blocks.

FOOD

We would like to offer a more diverse food range this year and are looking for members of our community who would like to be involved with running a food stall showcasing their cultural cuisine - i.e., Indian, Turkish, Chinese, Greek etc. Please get in touch if any individuals or groups would like to be involved.

DONATIONS

If anyone can help with any of the following donations this would be greatly appreciated:

  • Craft items, ribbons, glue guns, sparkles for a fairy stall making wands/halos needs supplies.
  • Beauty/make up donations/contacts or Mecca gift cards - to use as prizes for games for the senior girls.
  • Tombola Jars - medium sized jars filled with items such as lollies, chocolate, hair ties, marbles, and stationery.

 VOLUNTEERS

  • Specifically, anyone wishing to come onboard the events subcommittee either ongoing or event by event.
  • Volunteers on the night to help run the stalls, set up and clean up.
  • Volunteers on the day to collect hire equipment from suppliers - ideally people with UTE or larger SUV.

If you can contribute in any way, please email spa@shelford.vic.edu.au

This is a great community, and we appreciate how involved our volunteers are.
