The process for enrolling new Preps for 2024 begins this term. As always, we look forward, with great excitement, to welcoming new members into the St Kilian’s community. A reminder to current parents that if you have a child/sibling who will be starting Prep in 2024 to please collect an enrolment form from the office and return it as soon as possible.

Mother’s Day

Thank you to all of the Mums of the school that were able to come along to the Mother’s Day 'Muffins with Mum' on Friday. I thank the wonderful work of Clare Talbot and volunteers for organising this event.  We also thank Jess Clark for organising the gifts for Mothers Day, and our staff for managing the distribution of gifts.

Friday Afternoon Assembly

Congratulations to PrepJW for a wonderful assembly presentation on Friday.  Our next assembly will be showcasing 1EM on Friday 26th May. Assembly will take place in the school hall and we invite the parents of 1EM to attend.  We will start promptly at 3pm.

Lisa Chesters' Visit

During Monday morning’s assembly, Lisa Chesters MP, spoke to the school about her role with the Government. She also presented the Grade 6 students with certificates of acknowledgement for visiting Parliament House in Canberra on their recent school camp.  Thank you Lisa for joining us.

Andrew Chinn

What a wonderful day the students and staff had with Andrew Chinn yesterday.  Andrew worked as a classroom teacher in Catholic Primary Schools in Sydney for nearly twenty years before moving into his full time music ministry.  The songs Andrew has written often feature during our masses and classroom celebrations.  We thank Mrs Carolyn Maher for organising this event for our school community.

Unit Masses

Next week unit mass is for Grade 3 & 4, Thursday 25th May at 9am.  Keep an eye out on the newsletter for details on when your child’s mass will be because we LOVE parents and special friends to join us for these masses.

School Athletics Information

This year we are having two separate school athletics events for our students. Grade 3-6 students will be participating in our Gr 3-6 Athletics Sports Carnival on Friday 14th June. The aim of this event is to give our Gr 3-6 students the opportunity to compete in a range of technical athletics events, with the top performers qualifying for the Catholic Athletics Carnival in Term 3.

Our F-2 students will be participating in a Tabloid Athletics Sports event, being held later in the year. The aim of this event is to expose our junior students to a range of modified athletics events, with the focus being on fun and participation. More information on both events to come.

God Bless
