How To Bee – Year 7 English Incursion
At St Philip's College we are blessed with a wealth of interests and experiences from our staff to aid us in enhancing our students' learning.
James Tudor, our resident apiarist and Agriculture teacher was able to share his expert knowledge of bees with our Year 7’s last Friday.
This was to support their learning as part of our text study of ‘How To Bee’ a wonderful story of the importance of sustainability and positive relationships.
Students loved wearing the bee suits and observing the hive colony in action, whilst Mr Tudor shared his understanding of how the bees work to produce honey. It was lovely to see the engagement of all students in this lesson. Thanks to James for a fabulous learning experience and to the Year 7's for having such inquiring minds.
