Term 2

District Cross Country

Sixty of Kalinda’s top runners represented our school at District Cross Country last Tuesday,  23rd May.

The sun was shining at Quambee Reserve as our students were challenged by a difficult Cross Country Course. The competition was tough, with roughly 100 students competing in each race.

The 12/13s and the 11s ran a 3km course and the 9/10s ran 2km.

All of our students ran their absolute best and there were a lot of red faces at the finish line.

We are very proud of the fact that every single Kalinda student finished the race and earnt points for our school.

It is a huge accomplishment just getting to the District level and all students should feel proud of themselves for their perseverance and effort, no matter what position they finished.

As a school, we finished 8th in our District which is a great effort.

A special congratulations to the following students who finished in the top 10 and will be competing at the Division level in a few weeks' time. We wish them all the very best!
