1/2 PB & NP

We have had a very busy two weeks - no wonder we are all tired!

Last week we had Junior Cross Country. We were lucky to have a beautiful day, perfect for running! The kids were all superstars and ran their hearts out. We were so proud of them! Thanks to Mrs. Waldron for organising another terrific event.

On Thursday, students carefully selected gifts from the Mother's Day stall. The PFA did an outstanding job of sourcing lovely gifts - a big thank you to them!

Also on Thursday, 1/2NP made chocolate balls for the Mother's Day Afternoon Tea. 1/2PB made their pikelets on Friday and these plates along with treats from all the other grades and our staff were enjoyed by mums and special friends on Friday afternoon. Thank you to all who were able to attend - these are the times our little school shines!

This week we have had Book Fair. Mrs. Ing has

worked tirelessly to organise and run the Book Fair - thanks Mrs. Ing! On Thursday we welcomed grandparents and

special friends to enjoy time with their grandchildren at school. They

watched the State School Spectacular kids perform, then warmed up with a cuppa before seeing their grandchildren's work and taking them to the Book Fair.

We also caught up with Carol via Webex which was super exciting! She is resting and recovering well.

In maths we have been consolidating our understanding of doubles and near doubles and we are moving into money. We have been writing persuasive letters to Mr. Azadzoi and making connections when reading. In science, we have been learning about seeds and how plants grow. We have started an experiment to grow grass from seeds.
