Welcome to Term 4 at St John's!
Return to onsite learning
We have our fingers crossed that we will soon be back together onsite. We are preparing to welcome our Prep children back part time on Monday 18th October, with our other Hubs joining us over the following weeks. A letter will be sent to each hub next week with further details about our plans for drop off/pick up and the ways in which we will continue to follow state mandates and guidelines to be as COVID safe as possible.
We hope to be able to provide families with an extensive farm update in the coming days. A letter will be shared with you all as soon as we have confirmation of our plans moving forward.
It seems incredible to think that we are already preparing to welcome our Prep 2022 children. As per last year we are having to be flexible in the ways in which we run transition, information will be shared with our Prep 2022 families through email and through an online site where you can access videos and information about our wonderful school. A link will be shared with you this week, along with tentative dates for transition sessions.
Prayers and well wishes for Fr Rene
Some of you may be aware that at the beginning of the holidays Fr Rene suffered a heart attack. He spent a few days in hospital and is now home and recovering well. We pray for his continued good recovery and look forward to seeing him soon.
Unfortunately, due to the restrictions currently in place, our Swimming Program for 2021 will not go ahead. For those families that have already paid for the Swimming Fee, you will be contacted soon regarding a rebate on your fees for 2022. St John's continues to work very hard to ensure all our children have as many experiences as possible and we appreciate your resilience and support during this time.
It almost goes without saying that we are excited at the possibility of being back together this term, it may not look exactly how we dreamed Term 4 would look but we are ready to welcome our children back with joy. We are also ready to as flexible as possible in terms of any last minute changes that may get thrown our way as COVID restrictions change along the way. As always, look after the needs of your family first and foremost.
Wishing you all a great term,
