Sport Report - Mentone Campus

With ACC term 4 sport cancelled the College has began some internal sporting competitions. Cricket, Tennis and Touch Rugby have been offered to years 7 & 8. These competitions are on a Wednesday or Thursday after school. The aim is to give students the opportunity to compete and play sport with an emphasis on participation and team work. These competitions are afterschool at the College as we are limiting our travel and also trying to maximise time spent in class for every student. Unfortunately we cannot have any spectators at these events due to the College covid protocols. 

Over the next few weeks we are hoping to increase our sporting opportunities for the students. The ACC Athletics and Swimming teams will commence training this term. These will happen before school and students will be notified of details shortly. 

I would also like to recognise the efforts of our Senior Basketball team- who finished the season undefeated and were on target to win another premiership. They won as a team in Year 7, 8, 9 & 10. Unfortunately they have had the last two seasons interrupted by Covid.
